Widely considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time, he played for the Chicago Bulls from 1984, and led them to National Basketball Association (NBA) championship wins 1991, 1992, and 1993. As a rookie he led the NBA in points scored (2,313). During the 1986-87 season he scored 3,000 points, only the second player in NBA history to do so. He retired from professional basketball Oct 1993, but returned to the game March 1995.
